Cheryl has been inspired by R&B greats Lisa Left Eye Lopes and Mary J. Blige, saying she wanted to be the former when she grew up and that the latter’s songs help her with every heartache.

In 2009 Cheryl climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Comic Relief. The trek, which she made alongside other British Celebrities including Gary Barlow and Chris Moyles raised an amazing £3.4 million for good causes.

In March 2013, after a brief reunion the year before, Girls Aloud announced that they were splitting up permanently. Soon after this, Cheryl made a post on Instagram which suggested she was back in the studio working on new solo material, and it was even reported that she might be collaborating with former bandmate Nicola Roberts on some tracks.

In 2010, London’s Madame Tussauds added a waxwork of Cheryl to their collection - it reportedly cost £150,000 to make!
